This is not a blog post…

There is no blog post today.

Tricked ya!

There is a small blog post today.

Nothing to see here.

no blog post.

just gratitude.

A blog post that says “gee thanks” for taking a bite out of your busy Sundays and devoting it to yourself, and to me.

A “golly, I’m so grateful” to the 3,500 people who felt at home in this post.

(If you want to keep the love going, feel free to share that nugget.)

A huge hug to everyone who sent me their own insecurities and questions after reading this post.

And a big ol’ beijinho (kiss) to the absolute legend of an expat in town, who ran up to me after reading the above post and said “YOU NEED A CAT!”

In the midst of my constant travels and moves, nothing has brought me more stability than you. Yep, if you’re reading this, YOU. (Because, creepily I can see where you’re reading from, and I’m grateful for each view).

This is my space to lay it all out there, and see who else is going through the same thing, or who might have some killer advice on how to combat my next hurdle. This blog, and everyone who surrounds it with love, is my passion. So I wanted to say thank you for bearing with me while I try for the one-hundredth time to become better at packing boxes. (I normally just throw things in as I find them… This time I’m trying to be an adult.)

Thank you for not adding any doubt to my decisions. There’s nothing but love on these pages, and I appreciate every morsel of your positivity. Speaking of love, I want y’all to know what I’m loving on in return.

-My Passion Planner

-Facebook Marketplace for showing me that we can all skip the store, and the plastic packaging, and buy awesome stuff from our neighbors

-Chickpeas. Random, but I’m seriously keeping the chickpea farmers in business (how the heck do you harvest a chickpea. Anyone know?)

-Make a Wish Foundation, thanks to an incredible Portuguese mom of two children with disabilities who were given dreamy, accessible trips to New York City courtesy of this amazing organization. I met her on Facebook Marketplace.

-The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The BBC for producing stellar fact-focused podcasts that provide the perfect backdrop to check my emails every morning.

-Surfers. Not because I love one. But because I genuinely smile every time I see some guy or gal in a ridiculously tight spandex suit running through the streets of town attached to a big piece of foam. The unhinged excitement, as they run towards the freezing cold water, is palpable. Nothing jazzes these people more than waves. And it’s taught me to find my waves in the world, which is exactly why I’m moving.

And while I could go on and on, I’m staring at a pile of poorly packed boxes, and it’s time to try again. So while this isn’t your typical Sunday loololo post, I just wanted to pop by on your phones (yes, almost all of you read from your phones. But might I add the pictures look way cooler if you peep them on your computer? Food for thought.) and say thanks. Thanks for being here. Thanks for having my back. Thanks for telling me I need a cat. And thanks for all of the coffee dates and sweet messages. I’m sending it all right back at you. At this rate, moving and I are best friends, so who knows how many more of you I’ll get to meet for coffee!

Happy weekend.

Go find your waves.
