Hola, Guten Tag and Bom Dia! That girl on the left is me, Emily.
Needless to say, I appreciate a good sun umbrella and would rather spend my holidays hiking in Norway than on a sandy beach somewhere crisping. But anywho, I'm an American gal living abroad, navigating a life of (organized) adventure in Hamburg, Germany.
For most of my life, I sang and danced for a living. For real. I studied in New York and stuck around the Big Apple for a total of 8 years, before leaving to travel the world as a singer on a German cruise ship (the cruise ship is a whole other story…). Working and living in Europe changed my ideas about this thing called life, and it didn't take long before I decided to move. Now, I’m a marketeer by day, a blogger on weekends, and a full-time storyteller on a quest to find a balanced life abroad. At the moment, it’s an equation of long runs along Hamburg’s winding waterways, too much screen time, and delicious Portuguese red wine. (Fun Fact: I also lived in Portugal for 1.5 years.)
I don't have any answers yet, but I sure do enjoy failing, falling, and learning my way all over the world. Join me for coffee, wine, and all of the adventures in between.
